**”Who is among you who fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His
servant, yet walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the
name of the Lord and rely on his God**.”Isaiah 50:10
It’s a strange thing, isn’t it? You fear the Lord. You’re trying to obey. You haven’t abandoned the faith. And yet—you’re in the dark. There are seasons when you walk with God, but you cannot see Him. You do what’s right, but you don’t feel strong. You take the next step, but it’s into fog, not clarity. You read the Word, but the comfort feels distant. You pray, but the silence lingers.
Isaiah 50:10 is written for you.
It doesn’t describe a rebellious person. It’s not about someone running from God. It’s about the faithful—the one who fears the Lord and obeys His servant—yet still walks in darkness. No light. No explanation. No breakthrough. Just faith.
And that’s the point.
God’s people sometimes walk in darkness—not because they’ve strayed, but because He’s teaching them to trust. Not in what they see. Not in what they feel. But in who He is.
“Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.” That’s not a call to figure things out. It’s a call to fall into God’s arms—even when you can’t see His face. Even when the darkness doesn’t lift. Faith doesn’t mean the absence of fear. It means the presence of God in the fear.
This kind of walking isn’t glamorous. It doesn’t look impressive. It’s quiet. It’s slow. Sometimes it looks like standing still. Sometimes it looks like crawling. But it is faith—real faith. The kind that trusts even when the path is invisible. The kind that keeps obeying, even when nothing makes sense.
Weakness that walks with God is stronger than strength that walks without Him.
Don’t let the darkness convince you that you’re far from God. The cloud may hide His face, but not His presence. The silence may test your heart, but not His faithfulness. If you are His, then even the darkness is under His command.
So walk. Even if you feel weak. Even if your soul trembles. Even if the next step isn’t clear. Walk with your weakness. Walk in the dark. Walk in the name of the Lord.
He is not just at the end of the road. He is in the shadows with you now.
