“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to
those who love God, to those who are called according to His
purpose.”Romans 8:28
This verse is so often quoted that we sometimes forget how staggering it really is.
God doesn’t just redeem the outcome of our lives—He works through everything within them. Every sorrow. Every delay. Every betrayal. Every closed door. Every failure. Every silence. Not one thread is wasted. Not one is random. Not one falls outside His weaving.
“All things” means just that.
God is not a patcher of broken situations. He is the sovereign Weaver of redemptive ones. He doesn’t wait to see what will happen and then react. He orchestrates. He threads the good, the painful, the confusing, and the unexpected into a story that leads to something better than we could have arranged on our own.
This doesn’t mean every event is good. It means every event is used for good.
That’s the miracle.
We might see only one thread and call it loss. But God sees the tapestry. And when it’s revealed—whether in this life or eternity—we’ll realize He never let go of a single strand.
The Greek word for “work together” is synergeo—the root of our word “synergy.” It paints a picture of coordinated movement, where multiple forces come together to accomplish something greater than any one of them could alone.
Your story is not just a collection of moments. It’s a coordinated movement of grace.
And God is still weaving.
